READ THIS REVIEW! I bought a classic truck in Portland OR from Ebay and need an inspection the week before Christmas. I emailed Josh from PDX and he was busy so he referred me to another inspector in the Portland Area. I scheduled an appointment with the other inspector to look at the truck. When the other inspector arrived to inspect he was rude to the dealer and very demanding. He had a very difficult time communicating with the dealer and ending up leaving the inspection before he finished. When I talked to him later he had no information and did not do the inspection. The dealer was frustrated and I was frustrated so I called Josh back and he fit me in the same day! Josh was extremely knowledgeable and a true professional. He got me the report the same day and even walked me though all the details. I don't think I would have bought the truck if Josh had not gone back to do the inspection. Bottom Line do not buy a car without a professional like Josh from PDX Inspections looking at it first

Very Good Service at reasonable expense I was about to buy what I thought was a nice Audi A6 with a clean CarFax report. Test drove nicely and appeared to be in excellent condition. Josh inspected it and informed me there had been significant paint work indicating a likely collision. Very nice detailed report within a couple hours of inspection. Used PDX Inspections again.... I just bought a high mileage Honda Odyssey with a lot features (ie, potential to fail). Josh went to the seller's office and gave the car a thorough check up. He brings a full set of tools, a compressor (to raise the car), computers, and scan tools. If you're skeptical that an onsite inspection can be as thorough as an in-shop inspection, withold judgement until you see Josh at work. I got all the information I needed to make a decision about the car (I bought it), and didn't have to deal with the hassle of driving the car to a shop. It seems irresonsible to buy a car without this service.

Peace of Mind is Priceless---Well worth it ‎ When you are spending 10 to 15 thousand dollars on a used car, you want to know about everything that is lurking inside, underneath, in the engine,, etc. Josh is the reason I decided to buy a rig I was interested in; His inspection for just over $100.00 gave me the confidence i needed to pull the trigger on the purchase. Outstanding Service‎ I finally found what I thought was a great used car (2003 Accord). I was test driving the car for the day and called PDX Inspections to see if they could do an inspection on very short notice.. I spoke with Josh and he arranged to inspect the car within 2 hours of my call! Josh did a very thorough inspection and answered many questions that I had about the car (he was able to tell me more about Accords than the car dealer). At the end of the inspection Josh was able to tell me that the car was in great condition, no mechanical problems, and everything was in good working order... Great service for a very low cost! I had a pre-purchase inspection done on a BMW I wanted. For just over $100, he drove out to the sellers home in Beaverton and did a very thorough inspection of the vehicle and emailed me a very nice and easy to read report the same day that covered just about anything I would need to know. He also gave me lots of great advice along the way! I did end of purchasing the car and I was able to use his report to negotiate price with the seller and it made me much more comfortable knowing exactly what I items I need to get taken care of now and what I won't need to worry about for a while. Saved me from making a big mistake‎ I was a bit uneasy about the vehicle I was considering purchasing. The carfax report provided by the dealer indicated the title was clean but I wanted to have an inspection done to put my mind at ease. I received a call from Josh within 30 minutes of sending my email to him and he made it out to dealership that same day to do the inspection on the 2006 Honda Accord I was interested in. I had my inspection report back via email before 5PM that same day. His very thorough report indicated that the vehicle had been in a significant front end collision with airbags deployed. The body work in his estimation was not done well and the exhaust and air conditioning systems were not working likely due to the collision. He also advised that the vehicle would need new tires and brakes almost immediately. Thanks to Josh I was able to avoid making a very expensive mistake

Convenient, thorough, and essential to a vehicle purchase. Josh inspected my 2002 M5 at the car dealership prior to buying it. It's a complicated car with lots of features, but he took his time to review and test everything. He emailed a 3 page report within 20 minutes detailing the cosmetical and mechanical condition of the car. It needed a clutch, new tires, and an instrument cluster, which I negotiated into the final purchase price. I've used him for 2 cars and will not buy a car without his opinion in the future.

Money well spent!‎ Neither my husband or I had purchased a car in quite a while, so we knew we needed some professional help to assist us in finding a quality car. We were referred to PDX Inspections and are so glad we scheduled an inspection. Josh went to a small wholesaler/dealer and completely inspected the car top to bottom. The flexibility of him not having a shop but being a mobile operation makes for an easy pre-purchase inspection for both the buyer and seller. No needing to worry about getting the car to a shop if the car is a distance away. Set up a time and location that works for the seller and it's done. I found a car on Craigslist that sounded interesting, but it had a few things that raised my suspicions. It was also across town. I signed up for an inspection late Tuesday evening. Josh confirmed early Wednesday morning and was inspecting the car by 10am that day. The report was in my e-mail by 1pm same day, just as promised. It was extremely thorough and he checked everything imaginable and in places I wouldn't have thought to look, like for body damage inside the spare tire well. Josh saved me from buying a car with defects I could have never seen, as well as a few hours of driving across town and back (lost income for me), even if I had known what to look for. Member Comments: Wonderfully, I first contacted him after finding his info online and asked if he was available and what times he could perform the inspection. To my surprise he was able to do the inspection without my being there and sent the info promptly to me via email. He also provided me with a verbal estimate for work to be needed if I wanted to improve the car. Member Comments: Josh called the seller to arrange an appointment, inspected the truck, and promptly emailed me a thorough report. He checked everything mechanical and cosmetic. He found that the passenger's power mirror was not adjustable, that one of the tires was mismatched, and that the brakes were due for service. His report was prepared in Adobe Acrobat format and could easily be read and understood. He even provided a free CarFax report. This guy is good.
